I love smoothies, because they are really quick to make, delicious and very nutritious! And of course, since strawberry season is officially on, what else would be better than a mouthwatering strawberry smoothie? The most easy and quick snack of the day, which is ready only in 3'! Rich, nutritious and super tasty smoothie with strawberries, banana, milk, yogurt, honey and tahini. It will for sure become your favorite, and win the spot for your mid-day or post-workout snack!

Smoothies are the new trend and I follow it because they are healthy, fast to make, delicious, nutritious and make you feel full. They are ideal if you want to lose weight or if you want a quick snack, especially after gym. They are also a great option for a super quick breakfast to make and consume, if you are the kind of person who wakes up 5' before having to leave the house. This smoothie is my favorite for this time of the year, because it contains fresh strawberries! I have to admit, that strawberries are by far my favorite fruit (second favorite are the cherries!) and every spring I am so excited, that I am able to have fresh, organic strawberries to consume every day and add into my favorite desserts!

Actually this smoothie is really good also with frozen strawberries. In that case the texture becomes more like a milkshake: frozen and thick. However, the taste of fresh strawberries cannot be compared with the frozen ones. Therefore, if you have fresh, organic strawberries, make sure to try it with them! And of course before the strawberry season is over, you can always wash your fresh strawberries, remove their green leafy top, transfer them to a zipped-top plastic bag and store them in the freezer for up 6 months! This way, you can have for some months frozen strawberries ready for your smoothie or other desserts!

Actually you can put everything you want in a smoothie following the basic ingredients that are a liquid base, fruits, protein and flavour. For the liquid base you can use milk (regular, almond milk, coconut milk or soya milk), coconut water, orange juice or even plain water. As for fruits, feel free to use fresh or frozen fruits such as all kind of berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries), cherries, banana, pineapple, mango or peach. Additional to fruits you can use spinach or kale to add vitamins. For protein you can use greek yogurt, oat flakes, chia seeds, flax seeds, nuts or nut butter (peanut butter, almond butter, tahini etc.). Finally for flavour you can add honey, vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa powder, ginger (fresh grated or powder) or whatever you like.

For my strawberry banana smoothie I use fresh strawberries (feel free to use frozen ones for a more like milkshake texture), banana, milk (I use unsweetened almond milk), greek yogurt, chia seeds, tahini and honey to add some sweetness.

Just add all the ingredients in the blender, starting with the liquid ingredients and ending with the honey. In this way the blending will be smoother and you will not end up with the bottom of your blender covered with honey.

Blend until smooth, serve in a big glass and consume! Do not worry if after a while your smoothie starts to split, just give it a good stir and enjoy!
